I find that empathy is quite important in the day to day activities involved in UX Research. I have always been sensitive to others feelings and how the process they are engaging with is going.
Growing up, I always needed to know how things worked and why something wasn't going as planned. I still love trying to figure out processes and love learning new systems
I am always considering if the way something is being done is the best way. Often times users will go along with the process without considering that there could be better designs that exist.
I love being outside and exploring. Whether that be hiking trails in Yosemite National Park or finding local coffee shops, I love experiencing different environments and seeing how different cultures do life.
Juliana VanMatre is a User Experience Designer from the suburbs of St. Louis, Missouri who is currently studying in Savannah, Georgia. In 2016 she transferred to Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) as a sophomore from Belmont University. Although she loved the location and atmosphere of Belmont, the decision came from her desire for a more rigorous education and she saw a greater opportunity for a job she was passionate about post graduation with an education from SCAD. She has a passion for adventure and loves exploring new cities.
